Repolist exists to answer one question quickly: which properties on the market right now are worth a closer look, and why?

Distressed and below-market sales rarely announce themselves. The signal is buried in a phrase in a listing, a notice in the Gazette, a gap between what a property is worth per square foot and what it is being marketed at. Finding those by hand means reading thousands of listings a week. We read them so you don't have to, and show you what stood out.

Where the data comes from

Everything we show is compiled from listings and public registers — HM Land Registry Price Paid data, The Gazette, Energy Performance Certificates, planning records. We combine them, look for the patterns that matter to investors, and present what we find as property-level facts.

Repolist is an information service. We are not agents, we take no fee on any purchase, and nothing here is advice.

Who's behind it

Anthony Ayton is the founder of Diligent Investments Ltd, a buy-to-let investment consultancy that grew through the 2008 financial crisis. Trained as a barrister, he has a keen eye for strategy and detail. Anthony built Repolist to automate the job of finding investment properties for his own clients, and it became the UK's largest real-time online database of repossessed properties and refurbishment projects.

In his spare time Anthony performs stand-up comedy, and has taken two shows to Edinburgh.
